Sandrin Leung, an architecture and building design practice
Challenge
The site had to feel like it came from the firm, including how it works with nature
Goal
A structured, editorial site with room for organic elements
Scope
Web design, UI/UX, hand-drawn illustration, Webflow development and CMS

They build around nature. The site had to as well.

Sandrin Leung's design language starts with what's already on a site: they build around the landscape and keep it. A website made only of hard lines and white space would have missed that.

The work also had to lead. Architects are judged on their portfolio, so every decision had to serve the photography.

The Approach

Structure with organic edges.

A precise grid for the projects, and a softer layer that brings in the landscape.

  1. Room for the work

A photography-first layout with generous spacing and careful pacing keeps attention on the buildings.

  2. Illustrations drawn by hand

I drew the illustrations myself. They bring the organic side of the practice into an otherwise structured layout.

  3. A CMS built to grow

A structured Webflow build with a clean projects CMS lets the practice add new work without the design drifting.

The Result

Live, and built to keep growing.

The site is live, took five weeks from start to launch and scores 99 on PageSpeed. The CMS lets the practice add projects without touching the design.
